The year’s third case of electrocution by using an
unauthorized third party charger took place in Thailand. A 28 year old man died
while charging an iPhone 4s. Earlier on a flight attendant in China died
reportedly of electrocution by charging iPhone 4.
This issue has received wide attention. Apple has therefore
issued an advisory in China not to use unauthorized chargers. It has also
launched a ‘Take back Program’ for third party USB adopters.
