Production of the sophisticated Touch ID fingerprint device has been geared up and now Apples iPhone 5s is available all over.

iPhone 5s and 5c outsell other Smartphones in Japan

The iPhones are on fire in Japan. The iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c have broken all sales records in one of the most competitive markets of the world. Apple captured 76 percent of Japan’s Smartphone sales in October.

iPhone tops UK 2013 tech searches

iPhone remains the most popular item in technology which people used in 2013 in Britain. After the Apple handset, Yahoo’s UK users were most interested in Amazon’s Kindle e-reader and Samsung’s third placed Galaxy brand.

Cloud Storage Service launches new iOS app

The US department of Justice ordered shutting down of MegaUpload last January. Nearly a year later of MegaUpload shut down, Kim Dotcom introduced Cloud service storage named simply ‘Mega’. The new service is more secure than its predecessor, includes 50 GB storage space and has an iOS app. 

New Touch ID compatible, Waterproof iPhone 5s case by Life-proof

Life-proof has launched a new iPhone 5s case which is waterproof and 100% compatible with Touch ID. It’s named iPhone 5s nuud Case. It is also supposed to be the thinnest, lightest and all protective. It can be submerged up to 6.6 ft and can survive drops from 6.6 ft.

Electrocution while Charging iPhone

The year’s third case of electrocution by using an unauthorized third party charger took place in Thailand. A 28 year old man died while charging an iPhone 4s. Earlier on a flight attendant in China died reportedly of electrocution by charging iPhone 4.

This issue has received wide attention. Apple has therefore issued an advisory in China not to use unauthorized chargers. It has also launched a ‘Take back Program’ for third party USB adopters.
